PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive miticidal agent containing N-(fluorodichloromethylthio)-phthalimide, etc. as an active component, having low toxicity and wide miticidal spectrum, and exhibiting excellent miticidal effect. CONSTITUTION:The objective agent contains at least one compound selected from N-(fluorodichloromethylthio)-phthalimide, N-dimethyl-N'-phenyl-(N'-fluorodichloromethylthio)-sulfamide, 4-chlorophenyl-3'-iodopropargylformal and 2,4,4'- trichloro-2'-hydroxydiphenyl ether, as an active component. The above composition is compounded preferably with a carrier and adjuvant, and used in the form of emulsifiable concentrate, spraying agent, etc. It is effective to HYOHIDANI, acarid, tarsonemid, animal parasitic mite, etc., and is applied directly by placing on or scattering to the TATAMI mat, floor, closet, cabinet, etc., or placed on the above place in the form of a mite-controlling material.
