A braze alloy layered product

A method using transient liquid phase diffusion bonding to connect metal plates is disclosed. The method uses a combination of Boron and Silicon within the braze alloy. The particles are less than 250 micro-meters in size and the silicon and boron include less than 10 wt% contaminating oxygen, which allows even melting and reduced corrosion of the braze alloy. The braze alloy is applied to iron or steel plates and heated until the braze alloy melts and fuses the plates.
