PURPOSE:To enable printing time to be shortened, by a system wherein the position parts of inputted rules are stored in a blank state, and after printing characters or symbols, the rules are printed on a batch basis, in document- forming device or the like. CONSTITUTION:Characters, symbols, rules and the like inputted through a keyboard 1 are converted into JIS codes by a keyboard-controlling part 2, the codes are stored in a document file 3, while a screen-controlling part 4 develops the codes into dot patterns by a CG ROM4-1, and displays 5 the patterns. Then, the document data are first read from the file 3, and a printer-controlling part 6 controls a printer 7 in accordance with the document pattern to print one-line amount of data. With a rule-printing key depressed, rule data 2 are read from the file 3, and the part 6 controls the printer 7 in accordance with the rule patterns 5 to print the rules on a batch basis with each line as a unit. Accordingly, printing time can be shortened, and a printing ribbon can be prevented from being wasted. |
