An active microwave phase shifter is proposed which is intended to be constructed using stripline technology and whose phase angle can be adjusted from 0 DEG to 360 DEG . The phase shifter according to the invention contains means for phase switching in predetermined fixed steps. 3dB couplers (21, 31) which can preferably be switched over by means of pin-diodes are used for this purpose. Intermediate values between the steps are provided by continuous phase shifting by means of controllable active components (20, 30). <IMAGE>
