PURPOSE:To simplify production and eliminate a discharge problem by providing a cylindrical high-voltage electrode, a cylindrical low-voltage electrode, and a meshy electrode, forming an electrostatic lens system focusing via the high-voltage electrode and low-voltage electrode, and making the low-voltage electrode as deflecting electrode. CONSTITUTION:A focusing electrode system is constituted with electrodes G3 and G4, and the electrode G4 concurrently serves as a deflecting electrode. G5' is an electrode electrically connected to a meshy electrode G5. These electrodes G3, G4 and G5' are formed into predetermined patterns respectively by etching, photo-etching, etc. via laser, for example, after metals such as chrome, aluminum are deposited on the inner surface of a glass bulb. An electron beam Bm is focused via an electrostatic lens formed between the electrodes G3 and G4, and the landing error is corrected via an electrostatic lens formed between the electrodes G4 and G5.
