Circuit arrangement for branched railway networks

The circuit arrangement for branched railway networks serves to permit the operating personnel in the signal boxes to rapidly detect a route, which is to be preferred, consists of individual sections of track and has a minimum of sections to be travelled through. For a device which simulates the respective railway network, an electrical system which can be supplied with direct current is set up corresponding to the geographic course of this railway network. The said electrical system consists of a multiplicity of sub-circuits (A1) assigned to the sections of track and having in each case one LED (D1) poled in the direction of conduction with respect to the predetermined direction (F) of travel in series with a section-specific switching means (K1). When the section of track is free, the said switching means (K1) switches the respective LED (D1) on. The individual LEDs (D1, D2 and D3 etc.) are provided as a stylised miniature track diagram so that a specific route is marked by activated and non-activated diodes. As a function of the occupied state of the respective railway network, only those diodes light up whose series circuit has the smallest sum of threshold voltages in contrast with other series circuits. <IMAGE>
