Process for sulphur dioxide determination in flue gases

For the determination of concentration, the lines 296 and 313 nm are filtered out of the emission lines of a mercury lamp and the extinctions for both wavelengths are determined after irradiation of the flue gases. The difference between the two measured values is then a direct measurement for the SO2 concentration occurring along the measurement section.
