PURPOSE:To achieve a significantly improved visibility of an indicator position, by allowing an indicating member to be set on the periphery of an indicating dial plate in an opposed manner to a peripheral opening member of a light- guiding plate which is practically facing a rotating locus of the indicator point. CONSTITUTION:A light transmissible indicator 4 is driven to rotations by an indicator driving member. A light-guiding plate 5 provided with an opening practically facing a rotating locus of the indicator point 4 is transparent or milk white and light-transmissible and arranged along the front periphery of the indicating dial plate 3. A greater part of the plate 3 is flat, however, the outside periphery is inclined to face the open periphery of the plate 5 and the inclined part 3c is printed with characters. These elements constitute an indicating instrument together with light source 8, screen for shading light from the source 8 and ornamental plates, etc. When the source 8 is ignited, light enters into the indicating plate position only through the open periphery of the plate 5 and is reflected only on the inclined part 3c and the rest part remains dark. As the indicator 4, upon receiving light from the light-guiding plate, shines and illuminates, an indication lends itself to be confirmed on its position clearly in dark in the indicator inner periphery. |
