The present invention relates to an adjusting coupling which is installed in a fine boring head, adjustable by way of an eccentric graduated ring, for boring out fitting holes of the quality 5-11. By the use of an eccentric graduated ring with an eccentric and the associated adjusting coupling (parts 1-4), it is possible, by rotating the eccentric graduated ring at the outside diameter, to adjust the diameter range of 0.01 mm backwards and forwards without play. The object on which this invention is based is to eliminate the eccentric play which, due to the eccentric clearance in the radial direction becomes the centre of the eccentric graduated ring in the commercially available fine boring heads, the cutting tool socket, part 1, and the cylindrical pin, part 3, being directly connected. This is accomplished by the fact that part 2 (coupling piece) slides on part 3 (cylindrical pin) and part 1 (cutting tool socket) latches into part 2 (coupling piece) without play. This invention makes it possible to achieve problem-free adjustment of dimensions in a class of fit in a range of adjustment, by way of the eccentric graduated ring, of 0.5 mm in diameter and more (depending on the outside diameter of the eccentric graduated ring) by simple adjustment of the fine boring head.
