PURPOSE:To facilitate a change in the ratio between Zn and Al as constituent elements and to enable drawing by forming a wire for thermal spraying consisting of an inner layer of Al and an outer layer of Zn. CONSTITUTION:An Al core wire is coated with Zn by extrusion to manufacture a wire for thermal spraying consisting of an inner layer of Al and an outer layer of Zn in the form of concentric circles. The ratio in cross-sectional area between Zn and Al exerts direct influence on the performance of the wire for thermal spraying. In case where the outside diameter of the resulting wire is 10mm., it is preferable that the diameter of the Al core wire is adjusted to about 3.1mm., 4.47mm. and 5.48mm. when Al accounts for 10%, 20% and 30% of the total cross- sectional area, respectively. |
