PURPOSE:To eliminate the troublesomeness in adjustment in the variation of the plate width and eliminate the generation of the error due to the distance between a sensor and a milling cutter by separately installing two sensors for detecting the both edge parts in the direction of width of a strip onto an edge mirror body. CONSTITUTION:In strip-edge cutting apparatus, a sensor 6 is arranged integrally with an edge mirror body 3 on the input side of a milling cutter 2. Therefore, the sensor 6 operates simultaneously with each body 3 separately driven by a motor 17 and a gear system 18, and also the sensor 6 shifts for approach or separation. Further, since the sensor 6 is built into the body 3, the sensor 6 can be arranged in close to the cutter 2 in comparison with the conventional. Thus, the position adjustment through the variation of the plate width can be simplified markedly, and the generation of the error due to the close arrangement of the cutter 2 and the sensor 6 is reduced, and the necessity of delayed control is obviated. |
