Kits for use in a regimen for treatment or prevention of osteoporosis, where the regimen comprises sequential admin. of a bone-cell-activating cpd. (I), a bone-resorption-inhibiting polyphosphonate (II) and a placebo or nutrient supplement (III), comprises the following components arranged so as to facilitate compliance with the regimen: (a) 1-5 daily doses of (I); (b) 10-20 daily doses of (II), each being 0.25-3.3 times the lowest effective dose (LED); (c) 30-100 daily doses of (III).
