PURPOSE:To manufacture the titled material of extremely little deterioration in the contact resistance by rolling a metal conductor together with a noble metal to adhere pressingly with each other, finishing said body to a prescribed size, then applying the heating treatment thereto in nonoxidizing atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:In manufacturing the contact point material by covering the noble metal or the alloy to a part or whole of the surface of the metal conductor (Cu alloy, etc.), said conductor and the noble metal or the alloy are piled and rolled to adhere pressingly with each other. Next, said body is finished to the prescribed size, then heat treated in nonoxidizing atmosphere such as Ar and N2. As the noble metal and the alloy, the use of Au or Au alloy is preferable, and the use of laser is preferable for the heating treatment.
