PURPOSE:To obtain a filter capable of performing filtering by effectively using the whole of the filter body thereof, by performing the filtering of contaminated oil at the parts of the filter body positioned between mutually adjacent holes. CONSTITUTION:Contaminated oil is flowed into a primary side oil chamber 13 from an inflow oil chnnel 1 and further enters holes 16 through small perforations 8 to receive filtering action by the filtering through filter paper and layer filtration while the impurity removed clean oil reaches adjacent holes 17. Subsequently, the clean oil is gathered in a secondary side oil chamber 14 and discharged through a passing bore 15 and an outflow oil channel 2 to be again used in lubrication. Because the filtering of the contaminated oil performed at parts of the filter body 7 positioned between mutually adjacent holes 16, 17, the whole of the filter body 7 is availably used for filtering. Therefore, the same filter body 7 can be used over a long period of time while constant filtering action is held.
