PURPOSE:To obtain the titled polymer exhibiting stable antithrombotic property, formable by various forming methods, and useful for artificial heart, etc., by reacting a specific siloxane or a mixture of siloxane and a polyether with a diisocyanate compound and a chain extender. CONSTITUTION:The objective polyurethane or polyurethane urea can be produced by using the polysiloxane block of formula (R and R' are bivalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group; R'' and R''' are substituent group; m is integer of >=2; n is integer of >=1) as a soft segment, and reacting the block with a polyether, a diisocyanate compound (e.g. 4, 4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, etc.) and a chain extender (e.g. ethylene glycol). the polymer is preferably used to at least the contacting part of medical supplies contacting with blood.
