PURPOSE:To enable continuous detection of concn. of oxygen over a wide range by constituting an oxygen sensor of a part for introducing gas, a part for detecting partial pressure ratio of oxygen and a part for controlling partial pressure of oxygen. CONSTITUTION:The oxygen sensor 41 is constituted of the part 48 for introducing gas in which the gas to be measured is introduced, the part SC for detecting the partial pressure ratio of oxygen which outputs the voltage corresponding to the partial pressure ratio of oxygen between the gas in the part 48 and the gas having the prescribed concn. of oxygen and the part PC for controlling the partial pressure of oxygen which controls the partial pressure of oxygen in the part 48. The sensor 41 supplies the current of a zero or very small value to the part PC when the output voltage from the part SC of said sensor 41 is within the prescribed range which is preliminarily determined. The sensor supplies the current of the value corresponding to the output voltage to the part PC when the output voltage from the part SC is out of the prescribed range. The output voltage from the part SC is taken out as the detection output indicating the oxygen concn. of the gas to be measured. |
