PURPOSE:To automatically carry out the discharge and charge of a cartridge type rotary container for polishing, mixing materials, etc., by releasably clamping the rotary container between extendable rotary arms to travel the container on transfer-in and transfer-out rails, and as well by providing a lid gripping unit. CONSTITUTION:A container 1 removed from a container rotating device is clamped by a transfer-in unit 4 to be transferred to a content discharge position A where the container is vertically positioned, and a lid 2 is removed from the container by means of a gripping unit 23 and a clamp pressing cylinder 5. Thereafter, the container is reversed to discharge its content into a hopper 37. Then, a new content is charged into the container 1 by means of a charge unit 7, and the lid 2 is set onto the container 1 by means of the lid gripping unit 23 which is rotated with gripping the lid 2 and the cylinder 5. Further, the container 1 is set on an elevating device 6 and is clamped by a transfer-out unit 8 to be turned into its sidelong laying condition. Then the container is transferred out on a transfer-out rail 40 to the next working station. |
