<p>The casting line comprises an open-ended mould and a secondary cooling device consisting of a series of adjacent guide segments (3) which are mounted slidably on guides (2) orthogonal to the casting axis and can be moved apart by translation in order to be replaced by new guide segments. Each replacement guide segment (10) is arranged in advance on an auxiliary reserve frame (5) placed on one side of the main frame (1) of the casting line and is connected by a removable coupling (9) to the guide segment to be replaced (3), and the guide segments are replaced by substitution by effecting a translation of the assembly of the two coupled guide segments, the replacement guide segment (10) taking the place of the guide segment to be replaced (3), and the latter being moved to a second auxiliary frame (4) placed on the other side of the main frame (1), the said auxiliary frames (5) (4) being provided, at right angles to each guide segment, with guides (52, 42) placed in the extension of the guides (2) of the main frame (1). <IMAGE></p> |
