<p>PURPOSE:To produce a rolling material of good quality by fitting a proper crown to the body end part of a shiftable work roll, by shifting the work roll according to the variation in detecting rolling forces and by performing a correct compensation always at the width end part of the rolling material even in case of the variation in rolling forces. CONSTITUTION:A crown 5 having a proper shape is fitted to the body end parts of shiftable work rolls 3, 4. Servo valves 8, 9 are operated with a proportional controlling device 11 according to the variation in a detected rolling force 10 and shifting cylinders 6, 7 are operated in reverse direction each other and the work rolls 3, 4 are shifted. The rolling force 10 is made correct just sufficiently with the change in the thickness of the width end part of the rolling material S by the position of the crown part 5. Consequently the rolling material S is always rolled to good plate thickness shape.</p> |
