The present invention relates to an automotive fuel filter having an alarm function for fuel filter exchange cycle and an emergency fuel supplying function during clogging of the fuel filter. That is, the present invention provides an automotive fuel filter which enables a vehicle to perform emergency driving during a clogging phenomenon of a main filter by additionally mounting an emergency filter besides the main filter within a housing of the fuel filter and filtering fuel before the filtration through the emergency filter instead of the main filter when a flue flowing space is closed, and a fuel pressure before the filtration is increased at the same time, thereby enabling the filtered fuel to be smoothly supplied toward an engine, and which enables an operator to easily recognize exchange cycle of the fuel filter by allowing an alarm for the operator to be made using an on/off operation of electrical signals. In an automotive fuel filter including a housing having a fuel inlet and a fuel outlet, and a main filter mounted on an inner part of the housing, an automotive fuel filter according to the present invention is characterized in that an emergency filter assembly is mounted on an inner diameter part of the main filter to enable fuel pressure before filtration which is increased due to a clogging phenomenon of the main filter to simultaneously open the emergency filter assembly and filter fuel before filtration by passing the fuel before filtration through the emergency filter assembly. The emergency filter assembly includes an emergency filter case, an emergency filter, and a pressure valve. |
