PURPOSE:To allow an operator to input rendering data without paying any attention to the state of a character kind at all by determining the character kind of a display agate previously when a conversion key is operated. CONSTITUTION:A character conversion part 8 has an intermediate code conversion part 9, KANJI (Chinese character) conversion part 10, agate generating part 11, and KATAKANA (square form of Japanese syllabary) agate generating part 12, and the character conversion part 8 is connected to a control part 7 and a dictionary part 13. When the KANJI conversion key is pressed, the KATAKANA agate generating part 12 is actuated to convert HIRAGANA (cursive form of Japanese character) stored in a buffer 17 into a KATAKANA agate, which is sent to a display control part 3 through a buffer 18. When the KANJI conversion key is pressed again after the KATAKANA agate is displayed, a KANJI mixed sentence is generate and displayed together with its corresponding agate. |
