PURPOSE:To record plural signals simultaneously by performing control so that plural couples of magnetic heads record different signals on a tape respectively. CONSTITUTION:A video signal 1 is recorded on the video tape 5 by alternating a couple of video heads 13a and 13b fitted to a rotary drum 14 at an interval of 180 deg. in every 180 deg. turn of the drum 14 with a head switching signal. A video signal 2, on the other hand, is recorded on the tape 5 by alternating video heads 13c and 13d in every 180 deg. turn of the drum 14 with the head switching signal 2. Thus, the signals 1 and 2 are recorded on the tape 5 in series simultaneously or reproduced from the tape 5 in series. |
