PURPOSE:To enable automatic photographing of an underwater image by providing rotatably a camera in a water-resistant glass vessel and opening and closing a shutter via a prescribed cam by rotation of the camera. CONSTITUTION:The camera 9 is rotatably attached to the inside of a water- resistant cylinder 3 consisting of transparent glass or acrylic resin and is rotationally driven by a speed reducer 6 and a motor 7. On the other hand, six cams 12-12e are provided to the circumference of the cylinder 3 and a roller 11 at the top end of an arm 10 attaches and detaches to and from said cams, by which the shutter is opened and closed. The cylinder constituted in such a way is lowered into water. The motor 7 is run by a timer and the roller 11 contacts successively with the cams 12-12e by which the shutter is opened and closed and the underwater image is photographed. This device is thus utilized effectively for fishing or investigation, etc. of harbor concern.
