PURPOSE:To provide a low cost vibration damping device that simultaneously reduces the vibration excitations of the primary moment of engine in the vertical and lateral directions as well as the secondary moment of engine in the vertical direction. CONSTITUTION:The crankshaft 1 of a Diesel engine 9 has at its front and rear ends respective counter-weights 2a, 2b, and an eccentric rotary weight 6b for damping the vibration of the primary unbalance moment is disposed in the rear of said rear counter-counter weight 2b. Said eccentric rotary weight 6b is rotated synchronously with the rear counter-weight 2b in an opposite phase. A pair of eccentric rotary weights 13a, 13b for damping the vibration of the secondary unbalance moment is provided that is interlocked with the eccentric weight 6b to be rotated at twice the speed of the crankshaft 1, while the respective weights being rotated in opposite directions. |
