摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To enable improvement in the quality of a product and stable operation by determining automatically the initial set value of an optimum variable for shape control with respect to inputted rolling conditions and assuring the target product value of flatness right after start of rolling. CONSTITUTION:The rolling conditions such as rolling load and sheet thickness are inputted in a step 1. Parameters of a sheet crown and flatness model are then calculated and are inputted to a step 3 which calculates the manipulated variable (xi) and flatness (fi) for shape control. If the flatness f5 is within a permissible range, the calculated flatness f4 is checked and the manipulated variable (xi) for shape control in the step 3 is determined as a set value. If the calculated flatness value f5 is out of the permissible range in a step 4, the reference value (-xi) of the manipulated variable for shape control is made equal to the manipulated variable (xi) and is inputted to a step 8. The target value of the flatness is assured by repetition of such operations, by which the quality of the product is improved.</p>
