摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To control sheet thickness with excellent fast responsiveness and stability by making non-interferent a command signal for a screw-down position so as not to interfere with the sheet thickness on the outlet side in different directions in accordance with the discrete thickness signals on the outlet side in horizontal and vertical directions, the command signal for the screw-down position, etc. CONSTITUTION:The automatic control device for sheet thickness for a rolling mill consists of horizontal rolls 11a, 11b, vertical rolls 12a, 12b, a control device for the screw-down position which controls the screw-down position of said rolls, rolling reaction detectors 14a-c, screw- down position detectors 17a-c, calculators 18a-c and an arithmetic circuit 19 for non-interference. Said detectors 14a-c detect respectively independently the rolling reactions that the rolls 11a, 11b receive from a material 13 to be rolled. The calculators 18a-c calculate the sheet thickness in the horizontal direction and on the outlet side based on the signals from the detectors 17a-c and the signals from the detectors 14a-c and calculate the command for the screw- down position. The circuit 19 calculates the command signal for the screw-down position so as not to interfere with the sheet thickness on the outlet side in different directions based on the thickness signal on the outlet side, the command signal for the screw-down position and the rolling reaction signal.</p>
