<p>PURPOSE:To restrict dispersion between the inert gas and LPG upon substitution of gasses in a tank by a method wherein propane or butane is introduced into the tank and is pressurized to 1-14kg/cm<2>, thereafter, the gas is discharged from the upper part of the tank. CONSTITUTION:Propane gas or butane gas is supplied from the lower part of a spherical tank having 4,000m<3> capacity and the supply of LPG is stopped when a pressure in the tank has arrived at a specified pressure. Thereafter, the gas in the tank is discharged from the upper part of the tank and the filling work is finished when the gas, whose volume is about 1.5-2.0 times of the capacity of the tank, is discharged. As a result, most of nitrogen gas is discharged and the concentration of nitrogen gas in the tank may be reduced to a value lower than 4%. In the comparison between the present method and a conventional method, about 80 tons of propane may be saved in the employing amount thereof per one set of spherical tank having 4,000m<3> capacity while about 30 tons of butane may be saved in the same case.</p> |
