PURPOSE:To provide a space margin by connecting a microswitch for altering the polarity of a field through a hole formed at the center of a rotational shaft in a generator for obtaining two synchronizing speeds by varying the polarity of the field. CONSTITUTION:Main field coils 13 are divided into two groups, the number of the poles of the field is altered by switching reversely the polarity of the current of the coil of one group so that two synchronizing speeds can be selected in one generator. In this case, a microswitch 14 is used as means for switching the polarity of one group of the coils 13, fixed onto a rotational shaft 11, a shaft inserting hole 15 is opened at the center of the shaft 11, and the switch 14 and the coil 13 are connected through the hole 15. An electromagnetic clutch MR for operating the switch 14 is secured to a stationary side case. |
