<p>PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of printing operation and to utilize effectively storage media by employing recording medium size specified by an external device for recording when the size of a recording medium supplied from a manual supply device is larger than the recording medium in size specified by the external device. CONSTITUTION:The manual supply device 325 supplies the recording medium manually, the medium is conveyed by conveying devices 327 and 329, and the size of the medium from the device 325 is detected by detecting devices 326 and 328. On the other hand, storage medium size information and recording information from the external device are stored and the recording medium size specified from the external device is compared with the size of the recording medium supplied from the device 325; when the size from the device 325 is larger, the information is recorded with the recording medium size specified by the external device and the conveyance is controlled on the basis of outputs of the devices 326 and 328.</p> |
