PURPOSE:To obtain the specimen for a microscope capable of holding the fine structure of a specimen such as a biological tissue, capable of obtaining a sharp observation image and having good dissolvability in a resin stock material, by using a specific compound as a photopolymerization initiator. CONSTITUTION:A specimen is embedded by an embedding agent consisting of a photopolymerization initiator containing a compound represented by general formula I (wherein R<1>, R<2>, R<3> and R<4> are a 4-12C tert-alkyl group or a cumyl group) and a resin stock material. As the compound represented by the general formula I, 3, 3', 4, 4'-tetra(tertiary butylperoxycarbonyl)benzophenone is pref. As the resin used as the embedding agent, for example, an unsaturated polyester resin, an acrylic resin or an arylene-styrene resin can be used. |
