: The present invention relates to a nonintegrating receiver for amplifying a current signal is having a bandwidth .DELTA.f. The receiver is comprised of an input terminal to which the signal current is applied and an output terminal at which an amplified output voltage vo appears. A voltage amplifier is connected between the terminals, the amplifier having a forward voltage gain A with n poles, wherein n is an integer 1, 2..., therein at a frequency fai where i is an integer 1, 2,...n, outside the bandwidth. A negative feedback circuit is provided, connected between the terminals. The negative feedback circuit includes a current source for generating a feedback current if which is proportional to vo and which is subtracted from is at the input terminal, the transconductance gf of the current source being essentially independent of frequency within the bandwidth and being of opposite sign to the forward gain A. The feedback circuit in combination with the input capacitance CT of the receiver produces a feedback voltage gain .beta. with a feedback pole therein at a frequency ff. The amplifier and the feedback circuit form a loop circuit having a loop gain A.beta., and for stability, the feedback pole ff is the dominant pole in A.beta. versus frequency.
|
