PURPOSE:To prevent a motor and its rotatably drive system from damaging by detecting the abnormal speed of a motor from the counted value of a counter which counts the output of an encoder to interrupt the drive input of a motor. CONSTITUTION:An encoder 28 is mounted in a motor 24, and the encoding output of the encoder 28 is added to a position counter 32 and a speed counter 34. A position counter 32 counts the pulse input from the encoder 28, applies the rotating position signal to a main controller 2, and a speed counter 34 applies the rotating speed signal of the motor 24 by the number of pulses per unit time to a D/A converter 8 and a speed detector 36. The detector 36 detects that the motor 24 is an abnormal rotating speed from the counted value of the counter 34, excites the coil 22L of a relay 22 by the detected output to interrupt the drive input of the motor 24. |
