PURPOSE:To provide an output device capable of simultaneously and accurately printing out a displayed synthetic screen of a character screen and a graphic screen to obtain a hard copy, which converts character data and image data into respective video signals, synthesizes the signals, and converts synthetic signals thus obtained into image data. CONSTITUTION:A converting part 10 comprises converters 10a-10c for performing serial-to-parallel conversion of video signals (c) synthesized by a signal-synthesizing part 3 in accordance with red, green and blue, and has the function of outputting the converted image data (e). Therefore, video signals (d) sent from the part 3 are subjected to serial-to-parallel conversion by the converters 10a- 10c, the converted signals are momentarily stored into an image buffer 8 as the image data (e) by at least one-line amount at a time, and then the stored data are printed out by a printer 9. Accordingly, the video signals (d) corresponding to the synthetic screen displayed on a display device 6 are converted into image data, which are printed out. |
