NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [X is methyl-branched stearoyl of formula II (m and n are 4-10; m+n=14; m and n are distributed around m= n=7)]. EXAMPLE:2,6-Di-O-methyl-branched stearoyl(ascorbic acid). USE:Additive for cosmetic. It is liquid at normal temperature, and has peripheral circulation promoting effect as well as skin-beautifying effect caused by malanine-reducing activity. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be prepared by reacting the chloride of the methyl-branched stearic acid of formula III with ascorbic acid by conventional process, for example, reacting both components in a solvent such as chloroform in the presence of pyridine. |
