The present invention relates to a composition for anti-obesity comprising ailanthoidol as an effective component. More specifically, a composition for anti-obesity comprising ailanthoidol as an effective component has an effect of inhibiting fat accumulation in adipose tissues treated with the composition of the present invention, and a composition for anti-obesity comprising ailanthoidol as an effective component inhibits adipocytic differentiation by inhibiting the expression of PPARγ and C/EBPα, which are transcription factors in preadipocyte cells. Accordingly, a composition for anti-obesity comprising ailanthoidol as an effective component according to the present invention has application values in pharmaceutical uses as well as food uses as a composition having effects in prevention, alleviation, or treatment of obesity. |
