Provided are a coating material for a water treatment membrane which can rapidly and simply coat a water treatment membrane, and a water treatment membrane coated with the same. The water treatment membrane comprises: a polymer membrane; and a coating membrane including coordination compounds of metals and polyphenol formed on a surface of the polymer membrane. The metal includes one or more selected from iron, vanadium, chromium, gadolinium, copper, and cadmium. The polyphenol includes one or more selected from tannic acid, gallic acid, pyrogallol, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), epicatechin gallate (ECG), and epigallocatechin (EGC). |
