SLOT ARRAY ANTENNA SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To hold a slot waveguide with no bend for a slot array antenna system by providing one or plural through holes to a holding member at a position where a waveguide is fixed and along the lengthwise direction and melt-sticking the inner wall of the pierced hole and the rear surface of a slot waveguide and fixing said slot waveguide. CONSTITUTION:A holding member 2 is made of a metallic channel material and contains a groove part 2a formed along the lengthwise direction of the center part of a web 2c. The part 2a contains through holes 2b drilled through the bottom surface of the part 2a and along the lengthwise direction. These holes 2b are positioned at places where a slot waveguide 1 is attached so that the waveguide 1 is not protruded over the rear surface. Thus the leakage of electromagnetic waves can be prevented. The holes 2b are also positioned at a parallel bar part of the member 2. Thus dielectric plates 3a and 3b, a reflector plate 4 and a grid 6 are fixed to the member 2 through the holes 2b by means of a bolt and nuts 12a and 12b.
