PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a monitor system by transmitting the clock signal produced from a supervisory unit to an adjacent station together with fault information and monitoring the clock signal received by the adjacent station to confirm the normalcy of both the supervisory unit and a transfer line. CONSTITUTION:A supervisory unit SUP of an exchange station OA transmits the clock signal produced from a built-in clock generating part CG to an adjacent exchange station OB and monitors the clock signal received by the OB. Thus the faults of the SUP and a clock signal transfer line TCA are detected automatically and then informed to a concentrated maintenance center CMOC. Therefore it is not required for both the center CMOC and the unit SUP to have a test means which detects the fault of the SUP or the TCA and also a maintenance job for test. |
