<p>PURPOSE:To prevent errors in operation such as an error in setting recording medium size, misfeed and so on by displaying at a display portion both the effect that recording redium manual feed means is selected and a recording medium size designated from an external device. CONSTITUTION:In a recording apparatus, paper is taken out sheet by sheet from one of storing portions 317, 321 (cassettes) storing a plurality of recording media, that is, sheets, by paper feed means including paper feed rollers 318, 322 and fed to an image formation portion including a photoreceptor 301. During manual paper feed operation, paper inserted through a manual feed guide 325 is fed to the image formation portion by operation of the manual feed roller 327. In this case, memory means for storing paper size at the time of manual feed operation designated by an external device is provided in a control device. According to size information in the memory means, the effect that paper is to be manually fed, and the designated paper size are displayed at display means 359.</p> |
