PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide photosensitive material having good absorption spectral characteristics by incorporating a novel oxonole dye in said material. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive material contains an oxonol dye represented by the general formula as shown in the figure in which R is an aryl or heterocyclic group having at least one sulfo group; L is a methine group; and (n) is 0, 1, or 2. |
