PURPOSE:To reduce the number of signal wires and drive the titled printer at low impedance to thereby reduce noise, by providing a flexible power source cable and an optical fiber cable between a carriage unit and a frame of a serial printer. CONSTITUTION:For example, in a dot matrix type serial printer, the optical fiber cable 4 and the power source cable 5 are provided between the printer frame and the carriage unit 3 which comprises a head part 1 (comprising dot pin driving solenoids), a solenoid driver part 20 and a driver driving signal receiving part 21. A driver-driving signal and power source are sent from the frame side. |
