PURPOSE:To eliminate dust or the like stuck to the surface of an objective lens to improve the reliability and keep the quality for a long time by moving the objective lens while bringing the front end of the objective lens into contact with a cleaner in the reproducing position by horizontal and vertical driving mechanisms. CONSTITUTION:In the reproducing state, an objective lens 8 attached to a moving part of an actuator 7 is moved vertically in the direction of a lens cleaner 11 placed just under the lens 8, and at the same time, a pickup part 6 is moved horizontally to the inner peripheral part of a disc 4 by the rack and pinion system of a rack 10 and a pinion 9. Then, the lens 8 is brought into contact with a brush part 13 of the cleaner 11 in the state of a side blow and rubs it to generate a static electricity, and dust stuck to the surface of the lens 8 is attracted to the cleaner 11. Thus, the condensed light spot on the information recording face is held in a good shape to keep the quality of reproduced signals good, and the capacity is held for a long time. |
