The invention relates to a device preventing the reverse connecting of a charger to a battery. It consists of a known charger consisting of a step-down transformer 1 and a rectifier 2 connected to a battery 3 by means of an electromagnetic relay formed by a coil 8 and by the contact 6. The relay can only establish the electrical link when the diode 7 is correctly biased by the voltage from the battery. The device according to the invention is intended to protect the charger from short-circuits between the output terminals and from reverse connecting of the battery. <IMAGE>
