The pump comprises one installation at the surface and one at the bottom of the well connected together through an alternating transmission by means of a fluid. It consists of a motor-driven control pump unit 1 comprising a motor 2 coupled to connecting rods 4 connected to two opposing pistons 5 moving in cylinders 6. The unit supplies pipes connected to the pump 14 at the bottom of the well. A delivery pipe 12 is supplied from a sump 13 by the pump 14 at the bottom of the well. This involves suction through suction valves 15 and a filter 16 to the pump body 17 in which two pistons 18, moving in their cylinder, are connected by a shaft 19. This shaft rigidly connects the two pistons, which are subjected to the pressure of the fluid arriving through orifices 20 provided in the central partition 21 of the body 17 and opening out on both sides of it. Valves 22 allowing the evacuated liquid to be delivered to the pump body 17 are provided between it and the sump 13. The valves 15 in the suction pipes then oppose the evacuation of water through them. <IMAGE>
