PURPOSE:To easily make error processing with software, by displaying the detection of an error and at the same time, the track or sector containing the error or its substitute track or sector, when the error is detected in recording information while a verifying instruction is executed. CONSTITUTION:Recording drive address information, track address information, sector address information, and sector number designating information from an input device 50 are sent to storage drives 66a-66i through an input-output device connecting circuit 61, instruction execution controlling circuit 62, and storage drive circuit 65. One of the storage drives 66a-66i, for example, the storage drive 66a is selected. A verifying instruction is transmitted to the storage drive 66a following to the generation of a writing instruction from an input-output device. The read information is sent to an error detecting circuit 63 through the circuit 65 and when an error is detected, addresses of the sector containing the error and its substitute sector inspected at a writing condition inspecting circuit 64 are read from the storage drive 66a through the circuit 65 and displayed. Therefore, error processing of the software becomes easier. |
