PURPOSE:To concentrate efficiently a soln. in an energy-saving manner by immersing a part of an endless belt into the soln., and rotating the belt to evaporate the water content of the soln. in the atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:An endless belt 4 is immersed into seawater 7 by rotating a head pulley 2 to absorb the seawater. The seawater is evaporated in the atmosphere by solar heat and the difference in steam pressure while the belt turns around the head pulley 2 and returns to the seawater. Low-concn. seawater is then replaced by concd. seawater.
