摘要 The catalyst based on Fe2O3 and K2O can be obtained by kneading a water-containing mixture of (a) 45 to 90% by weight of Fe2O3 and/or at least one iron compound convertible into Fe2O3 (the latter calculated as Fe2O3), (b) 5 to 40% by weight of K2O and/or at least one potassium compound convertible into K2O (the latter calculated as K2O), (c) 3 to 30% by weight of MgO and/or at least one magnesium compound convertible into MgO (the latter calculated as MgO), (d) 0 to 10% by weight of a chromium and/or manganese compound, calculated as Me2O3, (e) 0 to 10% by weight of a compound of cerium, molybdenum, tungsten or mixtures thereof, calculated as the oxide which is the most stable under standard conditions, and (f) 0 to 15% by weight of CaO and/or at least one compound containing CaO or convertible into CaO (the latter calculated as CaO> and shaping it into mouldings which are dried and calcined at temperatures from 500 to 750 DEG C. The catalyst is used for the dehydrogenation of hydrocarbons, especially ethylbenzene, in the presence of steam.
