Process for bonding at least two components 1, 2 made of a material which does not liquefy under the influence of heat, which consists in raising at least the bonding region of each component to a critical bonding temperature and pressure, this process being characterised in that the bonding pressure is created by limiting the increase in volume of at least one of the components due to the expansion produced by the temperature rise, so that the components whose increase in volume has been limited press, in the bonding region 8, on the pieces to which they must be bonded. This process is particularly advantageous for bonding components consisting of certain types of so-called new-generation PTFE, which are characterised by a viscosity of less than 10<10> poises at the transformation point. <IMAGE> |
