DEODORIZATION THIODIETHANOL POLYMER

PURPOSE:To deodorize a polymer mainly composed of an ill-smelling thiodiethanol component or its composition readily by a simple process, by treating it at a temperature and a pressure in the specified ranges. CONSTITUTION:A polymer mainly composed of an ill-smelling thiodiethanol component or a composition containing this polymer in an amount of 50mol% or more is treated at 100-170 deg.C and 300mm.Hg or lower. Thus, it can be deodorized readily by a simple process.
