PURPOSE:To enable continuous filtration of an in-line type filter and to realize remarkable improvement of productivity by recovering waste gaseous product discharged from an in-line type filter in a closed system and removing always the waste gaseous product from the rear side of the filtration membrane. CONSTITUTION:A solid/liquid mixture stored in a solid/liquid mixture storage tank 1 is transported to the in-line type filter 2 by a pump 11 where the solid is separated from the liquid. A filtration line for transporting the filtrate to a filtrate tank 3 and guiding the liquid to the next stage and feeding devices 7-9 of the raw material are provided. In the raw material feed line, the feed amt. is controlled by the opening and closing of valves 15-17. Further, there are provided a gas discharging line transporting the gas staying or generated in the filter 2 in the closed state to a waste gas tank 4, a gas treating line for discharging the gas separated in the waste gas storage tank 4 into atmospheric air after, if necessary, transforming it to a harmless gas in a gas treating apparatus 5, and a solid/liquid mixture treating line for circulating the solid/liquid mixture accumulated in the bottom of the waste gas tank 4 to the storage tank 1 or leading it to discard or to other stage after treating it for nontoxification, etc. in a solid/ liquid mixture treating device 6.
